Mark Chewter
Managing Partner
Mark has been a Partner of CSL since November 1998. During his time with CSL, he has worked with clients in industries as diverse as retail, adventure tourism, distribution, manufacturing, agribusiness, logistics and Internet applications. Mark has concluded many buy side and sell side mandates, raising equity, raising debt, restructuring balance sheets for private and listed companies.
Before joining CSL, Mark worked for 12 years in the equity research and sales divisions of such leading international investment banks as Union Bank of Switzerland, Swiss Bank Corporation and Deutsche Bank and has been stationed in Thailand, Singapore and the United Kingdom. His experience has afforded him an understanding of the requirements of international investors in both mature and emerging markets.
Mark was the CFO of Cobra International, a Thai company which is the world's largest advanced composites manufacturer, from 2005 until 2009, taking the company through some milestone events. Today Mark holds the position of CFO at Thammachart Seafood Retail, Thailand's finest gourmet seafood retail company, SpiceRoads, a bicycle adventure travel company operating in 9 countries across Asia, and FoodbyPhone, Bangkok's predominant restaurant food delivery company.
Mark holds an MA (Hons) from Oxford University in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. He is a Fellow Member of the Thai Institute of Directors with confirmation of his Chartered Director status pending, and has served variously as Director, as Chairman and as Audit Committee Chairman for many private and public companies.
Mark is married with 2 daughters, is a committed Chelsea fan and a reluctant triathlete.
